The kids wanted to make cookies. Mom didn't really want to heat the oven up because it's been over 100 degrees every day ! So stinkin' hot ! Mom's solution was to make "NO BAKE" cookies. Here the kids begin to add ingredients to the pot. They had to continue stiring the mixture while it came up to a slow roaring boil. They wanted mom to take over here but she reminded them that this was their project and even if it was hard they could work through it and do it. They managed to do it too ! Once it was brought up to a boil, they had to remove it from the heat and let it cool after mixing it together.
The final step was to use a cookie dough scoop and scoop the dough out into balls. Laying the cookie balls onto wax paper. Let cookies cool to harden. These are so yummy and the best part is they do not cook in the oven ! The kids had so much fun making these too!
